The Math: A basic, usable, and elegant garden costs around $800 in material, labor, coordination, and education. When the individual and communities put in sweat-equity, that number decreases.
Thus, for each $800 in cash donated to Seattle Tilth a 501(c)3, we will (help) build a garden, more if there is labor input from the gardener or volunteers. You will get a letter of donation.
Other ways to further support this effort are by donating services we can use in the business that help nourish us:
HOUSING SPACE--1 year of a room in a house pays the labor for 8-10 gardens!!!
A TRUCK, or AUTO REPAIR- If you donate a truck in good condition worth $4-5K, we can build 8-10 gardens!
