I am moving out of my house that i rent and it is in seattle limits, there are two houses, which the tenant there is moving out soon as well, it is on a 2.15 acre parcel or close to that.. you can see it on king county parcel website . address is 2115 ne 130th st. 98125. owner is Lenna Xie. Thorton creek runs right thru property too. we were permitted to dig and build our garden and werent restricted even though its not big by any means... possibly the owners would allow you to put up your greenhouses.. i live in a remodeled barn, 3 bdr, 2 full bath.. very secluded feeling and beautiful for only 1500$ a month. I just came across your site via craigslists and noticed you're looking for a place.. also i really like what you guys do.

i recently saw a documentary on urban farming in cuba. this was in the wake of oil shortages - ie, they had to learn to work the land w/out oil/gas and needed them close to urban areas. the really cool thing that i liked was seeing how they recaptured their cultural practices when they reinstituted this way of farming. it was very moving.

Hope you find it. I'll ping some folks I know in Olympia/Seattle and see if they know of a spot.

What will you do with the plants you grow? I'm with Grow And Share. We're fighting US hunger by promoting shared and community gardens.

We grow seedlings to give away to gardeners. The gardeners sign a promise to share their harvest with family, friends, neighbors, strangers, and food banks. More healthy food is then available in their area, and finding its way to more tables and into the homes of families in need.

Will you be selling or giving away the seedlings? Will the food be grown locally for distribution or sold?

They have community gardens throughout Seattle and maybe they can help you find a space.
