We realize in order to make the Food Justice Vision become reality, we need to make many partnerships with individuals and organizations. This is especially true being a young and growing organization. So the question is: How can WE work together?
Social Justice and Environmental Organizations
If you work for are involved with an environmental organization, we would like to meet you to see how we can partner. Ideas we have are doing a joint plant sale Contact us to set up a meeting or lunch!
Local Schools and Government.
In 2008 CEL worked with the Auburn School District to plant a 50-fruit tree-orchard. We thoroughly enjoyed the project as did the schools and youth whom did much of the work!
Developers
Edible landscaping is best done in the design phase of a construction project. Contact us for consultations about how to integrating garden structures and plants into the designs.
As more people become hip to the food safety and security, more people are wanting to grow their own food. In fact, an edible landscape is going to become a selling point of any development in the near future because it helps provide nutritious food and community, two things lacking with the average American. The US Green Building Council is doing some work to give Green Points towards projects that incorporate edibles into their plans, though it still is in a pilot phase.
