A video that shows demonstrates an urban homestead and connects the local and global. The first 4 minutes are the most essential.

  • How very cool, what you’re doing, you guys. My husband sent me this video because I love goats, and I grew up in Pasadena… (Graduated, Pasadena High, 1974.) I live in Seattle now. But it is so fun to imagine your little homestead right by Old Town… (Which was no such thing back then!)

So I know you are growing your little garden in a tropical paradise!! When we first came to Pasadena, (from Holland via Kansas), my father went absolutely nuts with what you could grow. It partly transformed him, I think. But we grew nothing but flowers. Which was truly lovely too. =) I spent many many afternoons watering his little garden of eden. (I think that partly transformed me too.) I enjoyed your video!!!~~bernadette…
